What You’ll Learn

Sewing Fundamentals

• How to safely and confidently use a sewing machine
• Sewing tools and terminology every beginner should know
• Fabric types and how to choose the right materials
• Measuring, cutting, and preparing fabric
• Sewing straight seams and basic construction techniques
• Following beginner-friendly sewing instructions
• Completing a sewing project from start to finish

Business & Income Skills

• How to price handmade items for profit
• Understanding material costs and profit margins
• Basic inventory and supply planning
• Time management for handmade production
• Turning sewing skills into a side hustle or small business
• Building confidence to sell your handmade items

Class Details

• Duration: 3 consecutive Saturdays in a row
• Skill Level: Beginner (No experience required)
• Supplies: All class supplies included
• Final Project: Students will complete a finished sewing project by the end of the class

Sewing Machine Requirement

• Students must bring their own sewing machine, or
• A sewing machine rental option is available if needed

(Rental availability is limited and must be selected separately.)
